Milwaukee Public Library is GREAT:
We can now go to a web site to get all sorts of help...even renewing books,tapes,etc. Use the ADDRESS bar with http://www.MPL.org to renew...you need to set up your pin# on line first-using your library card number and then you are good to go. Go to the link. The web site will take you to a bunch of different information about the individual libraries, collections, etc. AMAZING!

Check your dryer!:
If you use dryer "sheets", be sure to "wash the filter" with soap/water occasionally. The sheets seem to be leaving a "film" in the filter which will stop the air flow. (I find that the inside of the dryer cavity also collects lots of lint and needs "fishing out".) The warning was from a recent E-mail via a firemans warning to a friend.

This is a great way to avoid the $2 (or so) charge for directory assistance. Go to the link.

To Get Off Cell and Land Line Lists!:
Even cell phones can be telemarketed ...and YOU will pay the charge usually! To prevent telemarketing on your cell and your home phones...888/382-1222...is the National "Do Not Call" list. It blocks your number for 5 years. (You must call from the telephone you want blocked.)

Fabulous Farmers Market:
Farmers Market at South Shore Park on Superior Ave. in Bay View from 8-12AM starting late JUNE until late OCTOBER !!! Great variety of vendors. Nancy Counter/First Weber are helping sponsor this healthful activity. Lots of new friend making too.
